Materials & Finishes
Ian and Stephen are constantly sourcing new suppliers in order to use only top quality materials for the handcrafted wood furniture and quality kitchens they build.
They can source both native and imported timber from the more common such as Rimu, Kauri, Ash, Oak for example, through to the more unusual such as Pohutakawa, London Plane and Tasmanian Blackwood. The painter they work with is experienced in the use of spray finishes and has worked on projects that have been awarded “house of the year” so can offer clear or paint finishes of the highest quality. Other finishes are available such as oils and stains or projects can be supplied ready for the customer to finish.
They can also supply granite and other man made materials such as Ceasarstone and Corian for bench or vanity tops and are experienced in making timber tops that look stunnig and are constucted to last.
Fittings
The fittings they use reflect their desire for quality and come from a wide variety of sources. They promote the use of soft closing drawers, quality hinges made to last and can even go to the lengths of gold plating handles if that is called for.
Lighting
They have experience with lighting designed especially for furniture and built in situations and work only with qualified and experienced tradesmen where these are needed.
